In my suite of short films ‘Erotomania’ I evoke a return to the language of the hysteric through the mouths of psychoanalysts Freud and Breuer. By taking the words of the analysts where they refer to themselves in the first person I re-author the case-studies of hysteria, implying and suggesting a different version of events (of hysteries) relating to counter-transference, through the elasticity of language.
